I like that she didn't know a banana that well and that she hesitated to answer. I was screaming at the screen _ "If you NEVER answer your mom Avery, I will pay for college...."

Wow, I'm awed at what you and Avery have accomplished together. Truly awed.
My first thought (because this post was all about me, right?) was that Emma won't sit for this. She'll barely allow me turn the pages. So, inspired by your example, I tried to point out pictures and name items and encourage her to show me. Har har. She literally would scream at me for holding things up. I think I got kicked once or twice. She just won't sit still for it. Sigh. I'm raising a savage. lol
