I am just this desperate

to not be pregnant anymore.

There's a "Labor Cake" recipe that's been floating around on the pregnancy website I visit fairly often. I figured it couldn't hurt, and it sounded pretty good, even though I'm not a huge chocolate person.

So I made it.
Then I ate it. (no, not the whole thing)
Now I am twiddling my thumbs.

So here's the recipe in case anyone else needs it...
My husband didn't think it was funny that I told him the recipe called for "Eye of Newt." I think he's afraid to try a piece. He thinks I put castor oil in it. I thought about it, for maybe a second, but then I didn't want to mess with the recipe in case that would take away its effectiveness.

HERSHEY'S "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa

Ok. I have Chuck packing the car right now.

I will be on the road in about 5 minutes. But before I go I want you to know that the whole point of our road trip is the fact that I am packing up weapons and reserves to go to your house and clunk you on the head because you just dedicated a whole blog post to an flippin' choclate cake recipe. I mean, I knew it was bad... but not THAT bad. I am here for you. I am coming. Hold on tight.

I'll be bringing the non-alcoholic Vodka & tequila - yes - basically water but still- it's the thought that counts. And you can ACT drunk if you want when you drink it. What ever helps.

    Anna,
Don't try to tempt me with your firewater. I ain't working this time.

Unfortunately, I think the cake is all a scam presented by Hershey's Chocolate. They prey on the weaknesses of 9-month pregnant women in order to sell more cocoa.

I feel so duped. It took eating three pieces of the cake for me to come to this conclusion.

However, if I go into labor in the middle of the night or in the morning, well then, that's a different story.

Regardless of whether it works or not, I think it would just be worth it to eat that much chocalate! Maybe it's called labor cake because it's supposed to make being 9 months pregnant that much easier to get through until labor starts!! :)
Hang in there girl! Not much longer now!!

Thought I would write you back over here ;)

And WOW! I hope you are in labor sooooooooon!! I can't believe how fast these pregnancies are now flying by!!

Ok, in the "nudist" one I use Pea Carrie Script (found here... http://kevinandamanda.com/scrapbook/fonts/fontsforpeas/index1.html )

in the Almost Famous one I used "Squealer" and then the Title is using the kit called "Rock 'n Roll" by Erica Hite at Scrapgirls.com ;)

Hope that helps ya out some!!

Now where can I see a belly pic?! :D

Well, the cake sure looks good and moist anyway!

There were a couple of pizza places in the Bay area that touted labor pizza, too. It was something about the pizza sauce...maybe it was the garlic. I tried it, but it didn't work...
