Surprise Baby Shower

Jed's coworkers threw him a surprise baby shower yesterday. They put a sizeable dent in my wishlist at Babies R Us. People are awesome sometimes, you know?

Anyway, here's what we got for Baby #2, who obviously isn't here yet. (Since my due date based on my 'cycle' was two days ago, I've already used the whole "I have a two day old baby in my womb" thing a few times today -- I'm holding out for my sonogram date of the 21st to be accurate, and I SOOOOO hope I don't go over that date.)

We got a play gym thingy that sits on the floor:

A new Boppy (since my original one is all lumpy from putting in the washing machine):

A bath sponge, some disposable changing table covers, pacifiers, and a bottle brush:

Diapers...

A bouncy seat that converts to a toddler seat (we'll just have to figure out how to keep Avery out of it...)

Various nursing supplies, teething rings, baby lotion:

A huge THANK YOU to his coworkers for their generosity :)

Now for my big question of the day... where do I get replacement tubing for my Medela Pump in Style? Anyone know?

That's very ver awesome! How generous of them!

BTW - I'm pretty sure you can get the replacement tubing at BRU or at the medela website.

Though I love you and know that it is awesome when people pull suprise showers... I MUST ask - what in Sam Hill compelled you to create the "gift photoshoot"? Each item so delicately prepped on your couch.

I really DO need to come out there and bonk you on the head.

But if THAT is what makes you happy... sigh - I will oblige.

Here is your assignment in the world of needing to take pictures of random crap:

A jellybean, two pennies (minted BEFORE 1991) AND toothpaste in ANY form. Together.

    Now go.

I like to see your baby junk. It's better than just describing it.

I love when you post pictures:) What great co-workers!!! I love people who make an effort and a bit deal out of such big events.
And wow, I have NEVER seen Huggies nappies like those, and breast pads for we call them breast pads not nursing pads, like the ones you have. And I've pretty much tried everything out there. Even the cream tube is different from what we have here in England.
If i ever come to US, I will be totally lost:)

Dont be upset for being a little overdue, once the crying and the feeding every hour started, I was actually sad I didnt carry her more..

Nat, I am sure you're so right... but you know the anxiousness in those last days. I think at this point I am most excited just to find out if it's a boy or a girl.

And Anna, my dear Anna, if you want me to post pictures of something other than what is going on at my house, drive your ass over here and take me somewhere. I will bring my camera and I will let you dictate the pictures. Come get me! I dare you!

Maybe we could go to Pike's Watering Hole?

I'm pretty sure the Medela web site has info on ordering parts.

Allie-usually you can buy extra supplies from a lactation consultant. Try calling the L&D where you will be delivering, I'm sure they can help you with that....
