Dollhouse

My mom asked me to buy Avery a gift because she spends half of her life in DC and won't have much time between now and Avery's birthday party to buy one. I suggested a dollhouse, she agreed.

So, I went to Toys 'R' Us and bought one of everything. I hope my mom doesn't mind cutting me that check. Bua ha ha.

Truth be told, Toys 'R' Us is having a Buy One Get One Free sale on their Fisher Price dollhouses and accessories, so this didn't do as much damage as you'd think it would have.

I think Avery will be in wow-I-have-so-many-dollhouse-accessories heaven and I'll be in little-pieces-all-over-my-living-room-floor hell.

Oooh, is that the twin time dollhouse? We have that. It's actually for L, but Z plays with it too. They both LOVE it. I'm sure A will too.
Here's my little bit o' advice (not that you asked) but only give her the furniture for one or maybe two rooms at a time to play with that way you won't loose all the parts and have them strewn across your house. Some of them are way too small anyway, there are like little mini pillows that come with the bedroom set. I tossed them because I KNEW one of my genius children would attempt to eat them. LOL

Oh, wow! I love it! I was thinking of getting Vicki a doll house for her birthday too:)

I was scared of getting one for her second birthday because of all the small parts, and because she went through a huge farm animals faze, so she has a lot of those, but I think she is finally becoming girlier.

I wish my Mom would offer to pay for whatever presents I think my child needs, not what she thinks.. and I am stil waiting for a pair of boots brom MIL for Vicki.. maybe next year

wow, you got a great deal. How fun! L had a great idea about only using a few rooms at a time. I never thought of that. Also, you could have "new" gifts to whip out when you need them in an emergency, aka rough days.

Olivia has a dollhouse and loves it, I gave it to her when she was 2. :-)
